About the Bible

I believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and the final authority on all matters of life, faith and practice (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, 2 Timothy 3:14-17).

About God

I believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons- God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three are equal in nature (1 Timothy 2:5, John 10:30, 1 John 5:7).

About Man

I believe God created man, both male and female, in His image. The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created without sin but later sinned against God. This lead them to become distorted images of God and separated from God (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 3:1-6, Romans 5:12-14).

About Jesus Christ

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins by dying on the cross. I believe that Jesus is man’s ONLY hope of redemption… I believe in His deity, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His return in power and glory (Matthew 1:23, Matthew 24:30, Luke 1:35, Luke 24:47, John 1:29, John 3:13, John 14:6, Hebrews 10:12, Acts 1:11, 1 John 3:5).

About Salvation

I believe that every person can obtain a restored fellowship with God through salvation. Salvation is a gift from God to man and cannot be earned through works. The Bible says we are all sinners and in need of a Savior. Jesus is that Savior. When He died on the cross, He absorbed God’s wrath for our sins and redeemed us. Anyone whom repents of their sin and accepts Jesus into their heart will be saved (John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9).

The Holy Spirit

I believe that the Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God and that He comes to live inside every believer at the time of their conversion. Among the Holy Spirit’s role is helping believers live a godly life, equipping them with gifts and talents to glorify God as well as edify the body of Christ (John 14:15-17, John 16:5-7, Acts 2:38, Romans 12:5-8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

Heaven and Hell

I believe in a literal heaven and hell. All those that place their faith and trust in Jesus will spend eternity in heaven while those that reject Him will spend eternity in hell (John 3:16-18, Matthew 25:41, John 3:36, Romans 10:9-10).

The Church

I believe that the church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the good news of the gospel (Ephesians 1:22-23).

Marriage

I believe God designed marriage to be between a man and a woman and sexual intimacy to be expressed only within the context of marriage (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Romans 1:18-32).
